Welcome to FlashBack Pics, a fun way to preserve and present your cherished photo memories in an elegant manner. Creating your very own customized photo products has never been easier.

How to create a photo book:

  1. Double-click the FlashBack Pics Photo Books desktop shortcut.

  2. A welcome screen will come up. Click Create New Book.

  3. Now choose the size of photo book you wish to create. All photo books have a minimum of 20 pages.

  4. You should now see the photo book workspace. Use the Image Browser in the bottom left corner to load pictures to use for your photo book. You can upload individual pictures or you can load an entire folder of pictures.

  5. You can toggle between the various page display options seen as tabs on the Image Browser to format your photo book. All of these items can be dragged and dropped directly onto the page or frame.
    Page Layouts – are arrangements of picture-ready picture frames. Once applied to a page you can still rearrange the layout elements any way you choose.
    Page Backgrounds – various colors, textures, and designs you can apply to the background of your pages.
    Picture Borders – borders of various color and thickness you can apply to your pictures.
    Templates
    – themes that can be applied to your entire photo book. Once applied to a page, you can still rearrange the template elements any way you choose.

  6. To navigate the pages of your photo book, click the desired page in the Pages Browser. You can also navigate using the navigation arrows located on the top toolbar.

  7. When you’re done designing your photo book, click the Send to FlashBack Pics button to upload your project to our production facilities.

 

How to create a calendar:

  1. Double-click the FlashBackPics Calendar & Cards desktop shortcut.

  2. A welcome screen will come up. Click Create New Calendar.

  3. Now choose the size and template of the calendar you wish to create.

  4. Select the month and day of the week you want your calendar to begin on and which holidays you want to include.

  5. You should now see the calendar workspace. Use the Image Browser on the left to load pictures to use for your calendar. You can upload individual pictures or you can load an entire folder of pictures.

  7. To navigate the pages of your calendar, click the desired page in the Pages Browser. You can also navigate using the navigation arrows located on the top toolbar.

  8. When you’re done designing your Calendar, click the Send to FlashBack Pics button to upload your project to our production facilities.

Tips and Tricks:


Book Monitor:

Using the Book Monitor feature, you can see issues that arise in your photo book in real-time. By default, the Book Monitor is set to on. If the Book Monitor has been turned off, go to the View menu and click “Show Book Monitor.”

Using Photos for Background Images:

Any of your pictures can be used as a background for a single or two-page spread. Just drag a picture from the Image Browser to a page (but not onto a frame), and when asked “How to drop?” click the option you prefer.

Adjusting & Cropping Your Photos:

You can adjust and crop your photos by zooming in and out on the picture.  You can also adjust the picture frame to fit the photo.

Aligning Pictures:

You can make sure that your pictures will be properly aligned with each other as well as relative to the page, by using the Show Grid & Snap to Grid controls located under the View menu.  To adjust the grid spacing, use the Setup Grid control.
