Q: How are the photo books and calendar/cards printed?

We print our products on a Xerox iGen with acid free paper. This printer is a high-end digital press and it provides excellent results.

Q: What kind of paper are the books and calendars printed on and how are they bound?

All of our photo books are printed on acid free 100# gloss text paper and they are perfect bound with glue. Our calendars are printed on acid free 80# gloss cover paper and they are wire bound.

Q: How long does it take to make a photo book?

Your first photo book will take the longest. However, you can create a book in just a few minutes by using our Fast Track option. The Fast Track is a photo book wizard that will guide you through the entire process of building your photo book. It will automatically place your photos in the book for you. After your book is completed you will still have the ability to change photos around and place text.

Q: What types of book covers do you offer?

Depending on the book size we offer customized photo covers, leather, or keyhole covers. Leather covers are available in black or blue leatherette. Please, check the photo books page for details about which cover types are available based on size.

Q: How does the calendar compare to one that I might buy in a store?

Our calendars are printed on acid free 80lb gloss cover for durability and then wire bound. It is similar in quality to many calendars that you might purchase in a store except that each product is customized by you.

Q: The preview for my calendar looks out of order...why is that?

Certain calendar types (the center fold calendars) require double sided printing. In order to maintain the correct format for the printing, cutting, and binding of the calendar, thus the pages may appear to be out of order. There are not. The purpose of this preview is for you to look at the calendar to determine if it’s OK: spelling, text in place, right images selected, layout etc.

Q: It's after January, can I start my calendar on a different month?

To start your calendar on any month or year start your calendar and choose that start period or if you've already started your calendar go to the personalize menu and choose "Calendar and Holidays".

Q: How can I transfer my personalized holidays from last years calendar to this year?

Open your previously saved calendar. Go to the file menu and choose save as. Select a different name for your calendar and save it. Then go to the personalize menu and choose "Calendar and Holidays" change the start year and month.

Q: Why should I add UV Coating to my products?

UV Coating will help protect your products and make the colors of your photos much more vibrant.

Q: Do you make any enhancements to the photos before printing?

No, we do not make any enhancements to your photos.

Q: What can I do to make my photo products look their best?

The products that look the best are those using high quality sharp clean images. The software will warn you of images that are below our recommended DPI. Try to use images 250 DPI or more for the best results.

Q: What can be customized on my photo products?

We offer the highest level of customization in the marketplace today. The calendars/cards can be fully customized including images within dates, collages, faded images as a background and much more.

Q: Can I add text in any language?

Yes, you can use any language or font on your system, the software will create a PDF before sending the file to print and embed all font information into the PDF.

Q: Are there limitation to what types of images I can use?

We will not print materials that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under applicable law. Or that promotes racism, hatred, bigotry, or harm against any group or person. We reserves the full right to refuse to print at our sole discretion, any output.

Q: How do I know that my order went through?

We will send an email confirmation to the email address you provided when completing your order.

Q: The shopping cart says that I was sent a confirmation e-mail but I haven't received one...will my order be completed?

Normally the e-mail has been sent but probably has been caught by a spam filter or some other e-mail security. To confirm your order please contact us by submitting a ticket here with your name, Job ID, and a way to identify the products you ordered (i.e. cover page description) and we will confirm that we have received your order.

Q: How long will it take to get my order?

Normal-printing time is 2-3 business days plus shipping time. Large orders may require more time. During holidays please allow more time due to the volume of orders.

Q: Can I make changes to my products after ordering?

Unfortunately, we can not make any changes after your order has been placed. Please, proof read and check your products carefully before you submit your order.

Q: I forgot to apply my coupon code, how can I redeem it?

We are not able to apply a coupon code after an order has already been placed. Please, make sure to apply your coupon while placing your order.

Q: Why is there a charge on my credit card from Automated Direct Mail?

FlashBack Pics is a division of Automated Direct Mail. The charge on your credit card will be from Automated Direct Mail.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

No, we only ship to U.S. addresses. The package is traceable.

Q: Will I get a confirmation once the order has been shipped?

Yes. Once the order has been shipped you will get an email conformation. If you chose to have your products shipped by FedEx then you will also receive a FedEx tracking number. If you are picking your products up in the store we will notify you when they are ready.

Q: My product uploaded but my shopping cart did not come up...what happened?

Sometimes security programs will block the opening of the shopping cart for you to complete your payment. There are two solutions to this problem. If you know the program causing the problem you can disable it for a short period of time. If not please note the time of your upload and a Job ID if one was provided for you. Submit a ticket to our support department by clicking here, (or Contact us at 877-420-9791 toll free) with this info (Job ID and time) and we will help you complete your order.
